Watch the Redmi 12 series unveiling event live here
The Redmi 12 series is arriving in India today at a true international unveiling. We expect no less than two phones - the already known Redmi 12 4G and a variant with 5G capabilities that will have at least a different chipset, enabled for next-gen mobile networks. The event begins at 12 PM IST, which is 6:30 UTC. There is a live stream on YouTube, which you can find below. The Redmi 12 has a Helio G88 chipset, and we were unimpressed in our review with the odd choice for Xiaomi to pick such a dated chipset. Its 5G variant is expected to have a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, which is a...

This opens up more room so the 1/1.43” Lytia LYT800 sensor is expected to have a low-light performance similar to 1” sensors. The LYT800 will have a 53MP resolution. There’s more –...

TSMC pushes back the launch of its Arizona plant to 2025
TSMC’s original plans for its semiconductor foundry in Arizona was to start mass producing chips next year. However, the company just announced a delay: “We expect the production schedule of N4 process technology to be pushed out to 2025,” TSMC Chairman Mark Liu told Nikkei Asia. Note that “N4” is one of TSMC’s 4nm nodes. The issue is the lack of enough skilled workers and technicians that can move in and install the advanced equipment used in the foundry. TSMC is sending technicians over from its factories in Taiwan to help with the setup. TSMC is also building a second plant in...
via shopmatrixiPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will reportedly be in very short supply upon launch
According to a new report, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and especially the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be in very short supply once they launch in September. This apparently has to do with problems with screen manufacturing at LG Display. Those problems stem from the fact that a new manufacturing process is being used in order to shrink the bezel size. It's apparently a similar issue to one Apple also faced for some Apple Watch models in the past. iPhone 14 Pro Max The displays for the iPhone 15 Pro (and, again, especially the Pro Max) made by LG are reportedly failing reliability tests...
