HMD has extended its partnership with Pixelworks - the company behind the Nokia 7.1's HDR-enabled PureDisplay - to bring its visual processing solutions to future Nokia smartphones. Pixelworks makes HDR tone mapping, support for HDR 10 content and real-time SDR to HDR converting possible. We were impressed with the Nokia 7.1 screen in our review so that's great news. It's not clear which future Nokia smartphones Pixelworks will work on but we sure hope the upcoming penta-cam Nokia 9 PureView is among them. Source
