According to Counterpoint data sent out by Realme in the form of a press release, the manufacturer gained an impressive 18% market share of the Indian smartphone market in October 2021, almost surpassing Xiaomi. The latter was able to pull of 20% market share during the same period. Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco didn't do all that well as it delivered only 2.7% of the sales while Redmi was the main driving factor.
