Sega Corporation announced its plans to acquire Rovio Entertainment Oyj – the maker of Angry Birds for €706 million ($775 million). The deal is expected to be completed by September 2023 and will see Sega take over Rovio’s mobile game development and use the Finnish company’s expertise in mobile gaming to develop multi-platform titles from Sega’s IP portfolio.
