Back in February 2021 Spotify announced a lossless tier for its streaming service that was dubbed “Spotify HiFi”, however, this new tier is yet to actually launch. Since then rivals such as Apple Music have introduced their own lossless catalogs, which apparently caused Spotify to push back the launch of HiFi (which is internally known as “Supremium”). Now Bloomberg reports that HiFi might finally be ready to launch, but warns that the subscription price will be higher. How much higher is unclear.
