Apple is reportedly working on a modem of its own for future iPhones

The Apple-Qualcomm relationship isn't going all too well lately amidst all the patent and royalty court disputes. Apple even threw Intel into the mix as iPhone modem supplier after solely relying on Qualcomm since 2011. And reportedly, this year the Cupertino-based company completely replaced Qualcomm with Intel. But the latest rumor going around suggests that Intel-Apple partnership might be short-lived as well because the smartphone maker is looking into the option of in-house production.
