Insiders report that Huawei will unveil a new chipset tomorrow, undeterred by the fallout from the US/China trade war. No, probably not the flagship Kirin 985, instead it's expected to be a replacement for the Kirin 710 from mid-2018. Tentatively dubbed Kirin 720, it will be fabbed by TSMC (which officially confirmed its support for Huawei) and it will use a smaller node - 10nm, down from 12nm. It could feature new processor and GPU cores, the 710 used A73 and G51, respectively. The 10nm process node may mean Cortex-A75 cores instead of the newer A76 (which target 7/8 nm), but...
